Gumusluk Guide

Bodrum Gümüşlük, which looks like an open-air museum and a natural harbor for boats, is a holiday center located about 20 kilometers from the center of Bodrum. It promises a quiet holiday a little further away from Bodrum's lively entertainment life. Gumusluk is more of a holiday destination where you can lie in your hammock or sun lounger and enjoy the sun and the sea.   

Gumusluk is located at the western end of the Bodrum Peninsula and is situated among the ruins of the ancient city of Mindos. Gumusluk is a town with a clear and deep blue sea, a wonderful nature and magnificent historical beauties.   

Today, under the town of Gumusluk, there are the ruins of the ancient city of Mindos. Roman and Hellenistic ruins or columns adorn the walls of many houses in the town. The ancient city of Mindos is also known as the sunken city.    

Gümüşlük is about 20 or 25 minutes away from the center of Bodrum. Today Gümüşlük is under protection as a protected area. You can reach Rabbit Island from Gümüşlük by stepping on the stones in the sea or, let's say, walking over the sea. These stones you step on are the stones of the sunken city, the place known as the historical King's road. The natural beach and sea on the south-facing part of Rabbit Island is a place of great beauty.   

Apart from Rabbit Island, there are many small and big islands in Gumusluk. The island known as Çavuş Yaşar Island is a natural habitat for seals.    

The whitewashed houses with blue shutters that you see while walking the streets of Gumusluk reflect the characteristics of the famous Bodrum houses. Strolling through the streets of Gumusluk and breathing in the smell of the sea and citrus fruits will do you good.   

In Bodrum Gumusluk, you can find many accommodation facilities in different categories. Especially in recent years, with the increasing tourism potential, many new accommodation facilities have been opened in the town. There are many accommodation facilities in Gumusluk, from large holiday hotels to boutique and small hotels and hostels.   

Gumusluk hotels are usually located by the sea. But if you want to be a little far from the beach, you can also find Gümüşlük boutique hotels located behind the sea. Almost all of Gümüşlük boutique hotels have their own swimming pools and their own beaches by the sea, so they offer suitable vacation opportunities for families with children.   

Bodrum hotels open with the start of the summer vacation season and the season continues almost until November. They usually offer bed and breakfast service. Apart from today's modern facilities, they also have many facilities such as spa, Turkish bath or gym.    

Gümüşlük hotel prices may vary according to the quality of the facility you stay in and the period you stay. But it is usually possible to find a Bodrum Gümüşlük hotel suitable for every tourist's budget. There may be a slight decrease in prices towards the fall months.
