In Datça, the air, the sun and the sea seem to blend together in infinite proportions... The days we spend at the sea, the transition from the setting sun to the moon; one of the only moments we feel good...
Gocakapı, located in Cumalı, a lovely village of Datça, which I visited last month, is run by Murat Güven. It is Mr. Hakan's job to make the guests comfortable and he does it very well.
Gocakapı attracts our attention with its location, innovation and authenticity.
It consists of stone houses with independent entrances in a quiet village. In our wooden-ceilinged room with a terrace where we enjoyed a bird's-eye view of Datça; we have a comfortable bed, fragrant sheets, a fireplace and even a handy little kitchen. In the evening the place falls into a deep silence - except for the sound of cicadas.
The breeze blowing gently in the courtyard almost every hour of the day gives a slight coolness on hot summer days. Under this breeze, it is most pleasant to find peace in the soft colors of the courtyard at sunset and to sit in the garden or on the terrace at night and watch the stars.
The most popular room is the Terrace room, with its own terrace, tiny mezzanine bed, high ceilings and expansive views, while the 1+1 room number 1 is the choice of more crowded families and groups of friends.
While all local products were preferred for breakfast, I couldn't get enough of the honey from local producers and the tangerine jam made by DorDatça.
Who is this place more suitable for?
It is suitable for travelers who want to explore the region called Betçe, located at the tip of the Datça peninsula, travelers who want to visit different bays, those who want to have a quiet and calm holiday in the village, crowded families and groups who want to have a holiday together using all the rooms.

Gocakapi is open 12 months and has a total of 5 rooms.

🍽 Food and Drink Recommendations:
Hestia Datça, located on the road in Yaka village, is a very good place both for an alternative breakfast and for lunch and dinner with 12 kinds of world ravioli.
For dinner, Hestia Mey, also in Yaka village, is a new generation tavern with delicious appetizers and meat dishes.
To spend the day by the sea, Kıyı Restaurant and Özgür Cafe, which also provide beach service, can be preferred.
You can taste great wines and accompaniments at Jale Wine cellar in Datça Karaköy marina, and you can have fun until the late hours of the night with a DJ at Mayan.
