Sukha Cunda

A sparkling day with the yellowish color of spring in the sunlight! We set foot in Cunda, where small fishing boats are lined up along the shore, and we take a breath at Sukha Cunda (@sukhacunda), which offers us a whole new reality. This place is suitable for couples and families with children +8 years old. 🌿 Sukha Cunda faces the North Aegean sea with its swaying olive groves, the Ida Mountains full of steep cliffs and the Edremit Bay-Hasır Island view. Soft towels, beautiful flowers in the garden, a special selection of handmade pumpkin lamps (Kargabak) by Uğur, our beloved artisan from Bozcaada, and rooms with clean white sheets in a modern design that makes life easier, made with garlic stone and blended bricks, have a sweet and beautiful view. It is obvious that these beauties will necessarily bring happiness. 🧑‍🌾 On the first day at Sukha, we have a rich breakfast worthy of the Aegean, and at noon we leave our room that opens to the pool and lie down on our private sun loungers right in front of us. Time passes very fast here. 🍳 The jams and sauces served for breakfast are their own production. In addition to pishi and pancakes, they offer different kinds of pastries, desserts and salads every day. All their products are sourced from local producers and Cunda dairies. If you request, they also help you with vegan/vegetarian and gluten-free/lactose-free preferences. 🔥 Of course, enjoying winter gardens with fireplaces in winter is a different taste. Why does the sun have to be beautiful? They also host events in different fields such as yoga camps, breath workshops, nonviolent communication workshops. ✨ Let me state that the hotel is also suitable for our disabled guests. There is an elevator with access to all floors and ramps in common areas. 🍽️ Food and Drink Recommendations Semali offers old Greek and Armenian mezes and unique appetizers for dinner, Nona Cunda for coffee and Uno Cunda for lunch. 🌿 The historical streets of Cunda, Rahmi Koç Museum, Sevim-Necdet Kent Library and the historical windmill are among the must-see places. 🏝️ Pateriça (a beautiful bay for swimming), Aşıklar Hill hiking trail and Çamlı Monastery are among the things to visit. ⛵️ Boat trips to the island's turquoise bays, which are inaccessible by land, watching the sunset from the Cunda observation deck, and trekking on the historical olive grove road in spring are among the must-dos. 🗝️ Suite and deluxe rooms are primarily preferred rooms. The terrace of the suite room received full marks from me with its room size and sea view. Deluxe rooms are other room types you can choose with pool floor and balcony options on the upper floors. In front of the deluxe pool floor rooms, there is a seating arrangement in bohemian armchairs on the platform zero to the pool and offers a wonderful visual. The upstairs deluxe rooms offer the opportunity to spend a spacious and pleasant time against the Aegean Sea and Mount Ida with its balcony.
