Things to do in Iznik

In terms of activities in nature trips, Lake Iznik and its surroundings offer us a wide range of opportunities. There are various water sports activities on the lake. You can rent a canoe and wander around the lake and even see the sunken city up close. You can travel around the lake not only by canoe but also by boat. Afterwards, you can walk around the areas covered with olive trees on footpaths and village roads, taste organic products and get plenty of fresh air. Apart from these, Iznik is also famous for its tiles. If you wish, you can go to a tile workshop and do tile painting after taking a small course. You can visit the place of Uncle İsmail, a craftsman who is close to a century old and symbolized with Iznik, and you can be in the barrel workshop. If you wish, you can take a walk by Iznik Lake and its shore. You can listen to yourself in that magnificent silence and find peace. There are also festivals for Iznik. The Canoe Festival takes place at the end of March and the People's Run in Iznik Ultra in April.
