Ada Palas Hotel

I have always loved the islands. If I say picturesque pine groves, spots with spectacular views, villas belonging to Greek families from Pera and Feneri, and especially the hill where the Monastery of Hagia Yorgi is located, would you think of Büyükada, the most exclusive island of the Prince Islands? As soon as I get off the ferry, I make my way to Ada Palas, which is adorned with natural beauties that fascinate me. In 1910, this place was the mansion of the government physician, then it was used as a primary school. Nine years ago, Ada Palas was completely restored and turned into a romantic hotel that started to host guests @adapalasbuyukada . The space is predominantly wooden, and the abundant greenery in pots warms the atmosphere. As I make my way from the ground floor to my room, there are crystal, silver objects, cast iron floor lamps, an old gramophone, antiques, photographs, paintings and sculptures embedded in the showcase. All the rooms are soundproofed. 🏠 What makes a small hotel a "Small Hotel" for me is the warmth of the people, which Ada Palas has in abundance thanks to its owner Salih Bey! I spend a delicious and enjoyable day here. When I add the wonderfulness, the beautiful view and the ease of transportation, it is easier to understand why this place is so special for me. The hotel's restaurant, @secretgardenrestaurant, surrounded by trees, warms my face and hands sweetly in the fall and gives me another pleasure in the summer in the greenery. For starters, "conversation" and "friendliness" are present in abundance. 🍽 The flavors that stand out in the restaurant are Ayvalık Lokma , Chef's Special with Beğendi , Sea Bass Bagel , Sea Bass Wrap on a bed of chard. While enjoying the live music, I think it is the time and place to enjoy the appetizers; always fresh fava, dolma and pickle varieties, leeks with olive oil, hummus, black-eyed peas and eggplant salad are waiting for my attention. And the next morning, as soon as the menemen at their eye-pleasing breakfast hits my palate, my soul is flavored with its delicious taste! The "Istanbul" of my dreams is only in the verses of Ziya Osman Saba: "I recognized the fourteenth of the moon in your sky. I knew spring in your fields. Everything, everything in me, Heirloom of Istanbul." 🌸 I would say this place is super suitable for celebrations such as Marriage Proposal, Wedding Anniversary, Birthday... It has a romantic atmosphere more for couples. 🐶 Not suitable for pets. ✨ Concept: Adult hotel over +12 years old... ✈️ The nearest airport is Sabiha Gökçen For a place to eat outside the hotel, I recommend the Kır Gazinos on the hill of Aya Yorgi. You will also see the Church with its historical structure.
