The room was lovely. The location was good. The staff left something to be desired. They offered nothing about the facilities on Hydra. I also received a very unpleasant call from a girl at the front desk, complaining that I was in my room too late two days in the row, which inconvenienced the cleaning lady. Totally unacceptable behavior for what was supposed to be a high class hotel.

I found the hotel owner to be strikingly rude. The hotel is high up so we had to walk uphill for a while with heavy luggages. No pick up service. I am used to better hospitality in Greece. The room was fine but overall the experience wasn't pleasant.

The people were helpful. The room was comfortable. You can have a donkey bring your luggage but we carry ours. We did not get breakfast but there were places to eat or stores to buy yogurt so it worked out. I would recommend this place. We were really tired (Jet lag) and were able to nap in the afternoon.
