FAQs

Located on the western coast of Antalya, where the Taurus Mountains meet the Mediterranean, Kemer is a charming seaside town that enchants its visitors with its deep blue bays, lush forests, and lively atmosphere. I had heard of this holiday paradise many times before but never had the chance to visit and it exceeded all my expectations.

As soon as you arrive in Kemer, the fresh scent of the sea blending with the pine forests greets you. While the town center is lined with modern hotels, cafes, and boutique shops, just a bit further, you can find bungalows and guesthouses nestled in the shade of pine trees, in harmony with nature. This variety shows that the region caters to all tastes and budgets.

I spent my first day at Ayışığı Beach, one of Kemer's most famous beaches. Its fine pebbled shore and crystal-clear waters doubled the joy of swimming. Watching the yachts gracefully gliding at the nearby marina was a pleasure on its own. Lying down on the warm pebbles right after a refreshing swim, with the majestic Taurus Mountains towering in the background, was a truly unique experience.

To feel Kemer's historical essence, I visited the ancient city of Phaselis. Dating back to the 7th century BC, this ancient city carries the traces of the past with its harbor remains, ancient theater, and columned streets. Wandering through the shade of pine trees and touching the historical stones felt like a journey through time. Moreover, being able to swim from the ancient city’s shores made the experience even more special.

Kemer isn't just about the sea and history. The town center comes alive at night. The "Bars Street" is filled with lively music, colorful lights, and a bustling crowd. As locals and tourists alike dance to the rhythm, you can feel Kemer’s touristic charm to the fullest.

Nature enthusiasts also have plenty to do in Kemer. Taking the cable car to the summit of Mount Tahtalı was a breathtaking experience. Gazing at the Mediterranean from 2,365 meters high felt like being above the clouds. Sipping my coffee at the peak, accompanied by a cool breeze, I couldn't help but think, "I'm so glad I came."

Leaving Kemer, I felt a pleasant sense of peace. This beautiful town, offering the blue of the sea, the green of nature, and the traces of history all at once, is a place I already plan to revisit. If you're looking to explore the beauties of the Mediterranean, make sure to add Kemer to your list.
