Alacati Recommendations for Fall
Here are some stylish and intimate hotels in Alaçatı recommended by our editor, perfect for weekend getaways or longer autumn vacations.
Unlike the summer crowds, Alaçatı awaits you in the fall with its serene atmosphere. The wind is blowing gently, the sun is still warming... The best part is that you can stroll comfortably through the narrow cobblestone streets. Prices are more reasonable compared to the summer months, and the service is more refined... The venues are at your disposal as if they were yours. In short, Alaçatı is a different experience in the fall...
Start your day with A NICE BREAKFAST. The village breakfasts and presentations at the hotels in Alaçatı are magnificent. My accommodation recommendations are at the end of this article.
Are you one of those who love or have always had a desire to surf? Then here's your chance. Alaçatı has one of the world's premier beaches for windsurfing. There are excellent surf schools here. The number of windy days here is 310 days a year. There is a shallow 330-meter beach along the coast. Even if you don't know how to swim, this shallow area is very ideal for learning windsurfing. The area where windsurfing clubs are located is the Port Alaçatı region. The fact that three sides of the bay are surrounded by land allows for windsurfing safely. Until November 15, the weather is suitable, and you can enjoy this activity in Alaçatı for months by wearing a wetsuit during colder times.
Are you one of those who like to wander the streets and take photos? Then EXPLORE THE STREETS OF ALAÇATI. The neighborhoods of Kemalpaşa, Hacı Memiş, and Yeni Memiş share interesting views and history with travelers who prefer to get lost in its streets. Unusual shops make your walk even more colorful. There are many beautiful antique and decorative material shops in Hacı Memiş and Yeni Memiş.
You don't have to run to do sports. EXPLORE ALAÇATI AND ITS SURROUNDINGS BY BICYCLE. You can explore the surroundings of Alaçatı and the Çeşme Peninsula by pedaling. With the support of the İzmir Development Agency, bicycle routes have been determined. The 6-kilometer "Green Road" is the easiest. The Ovacık Trail is of medium difficulty and 28 kilometers long. While doing this route, you can take a break at Ovacık Coffee, go up to Çakabey and enjoy the view. The Karaköy Trail starts in an abandoned 300-year-old village, continues with Zeytineli Village and Mersin Cove. In this most difficult 34-kilometer route, you also see the Port Alaçatı houses.
While you're there, SHOP AT THE LOCAL MARKETS IN THE AREA. A market is set up in Alaçatı every Saturday, where you can find various products from fruits to local textiles. They come to shop from all over the Çeşme Peninsula and even from Chios Island. Villagers sell fruits, vegetables, and herbs they grow in their gardens. The days of other markets are as follows: Çeşmealtı (Friday), Urla (Saturday), Çeşme (Sunday), and Ildırı (Monday).
WATCH THE SUNSET IN ILDIRI
From Paşalimanı to Ildırı, there is a magnificent coastal road, about 20 minutes by car, and it's a great route. When you arrive, climb to the highest point of the ancient site, the Acropolis. Bid farewell to the sun with the view of the Aegean Sea and the islands. Homer, who started Western literature, said, "The most beautiful place where the sun sets" for this place. Don't forget to eat gözleme at the cafe there before or after sunset.
GO ON A TASTE ADVENTURE IN ALAÇATI'S FAMOUS RESTAURANTS
There are many restaurants and cafes open year-round in Alaçatı. Asma Yaprağı, Karina, Kumrucu Hikmet, İmren, Fahri'nin Yeri, and Avrasya Alaçatı are among our favorites.
WHERE TO STAY IN ALAÇATI
You can stay in one of the beautiful boutique hotels in Alaçatı. The number of hotels in the district has exceeded 530. I recommend two hotels that are open year-round.
A guest said about İncirliev; 'We are not customers at İncirliev, we are friends. We are welcomed with joy, chat, get information about the best places to go, have the most royal breakfast with Osman uncle's jams, relax, and leave with water poured behind us.' İncirliev takes its guests to the old Alaçatı days with its courtyard, 150-year-old fig tree in the courtyard, and restored 150-year-old building. In cool autumn evenings, the rooms with fireplaces await their owners for a fireplace pleasure after dinner. Waking up to Osman Poshor's jams, Alaçatı flavors, and special surprises at breakfast is also a great pleasure.

With 18 years of experience, it's an "Alaçatı Classic" (authentic Stone Hotel). It has a team that has been working for years without changing. Having breakfast in the garden on sunny days (without wind!) is very enjoyable. Spending time in its library with a fireplace on rainy days is indispensable. With its books, jazz music, and cats, it has a unique atmosphere. They also give their guests a Stone Hotel Cake Book as a gift.
