Coffee Breezes... Caffé Vergnano
Coffee Whispers
"Wow, what a day just like in a movie!" After saying this, what brings us back to ourselves is good music and good coffee. The smell of good coffee caresses our faces and lungs! In fact, this coffee plant, which has nearly 120 varieties, has a separate and secluded world when it comes to culture and people, dear readers! Discovered in Abyssinia (700-800 AD) and then embarked on a journey, coffee beans crossed Yemen's impassable plateaus and steppes, arriving in the Ottoman Empire in the early 16th century, and to this day, it still retains its allure with centuries-old grace. It's quite mysterious how it has come all the way here amidst the wheels of time, isn't it...
Caffé Vergnano, one of Italy's important and oldest coffee brands, is a very special brand that evokes nostalgia when touched. Established by Domenico Vergnano in the notable 1880s, and what keeps this brand warm today is that it is still run by the 4th generation! But the real importance is that, thanks to Mira Food since 2008, we can drink the most delicious coffees of Caffé Vergnano brand, which focuses on good coffee, in Turkey.
Coffee beans are separated according to their regions, characteristics, and derivatives, of course. Caffé Vergnano's coffees, prepared by roasting high-quality beans with traditional methods, can be found in different blends of beans and ground options for espresso, different blends for filter coffee, and different blends ground specifically for Turkish Coffee in their product ranges. At the same time, single-serving capsule and pod coffees also play an important role in their product range.
Espresso 1882 capsule coffees compatible with Nespresso machines are produced in 100% compostable packaging, meaning they are environmentally friendly. These capsules, named "Caffé Vergnano Espresso 1882", were chosen as the product of the year in Italy in 2016 because they are as environmentally friendly as a banana peel! The paragraph pauses here, dear readers, because we remember the significant words of the late Bob Marley in the 1980s: "You won't miss the water until the well runs dry."
If we are to mention another detail specific to Caffé Vergnano, it can only be Turkish coffee. In 2013, Mira Food introduced our UNESCO-registered Turkish coffee and culture into Caffé Vergnano's special selection range, ensuring considerable demand worldwide for the past six years. Don't miss out on this most delicious version of Turkish coffee, because it is blended from five different Arabica beans. Its taste and flavor are delightful: indescribable!
A side note: You can obtain Caffé Vergnano's coffees from Mira Food's e-commerce page, their two cafes and restaurants in Istanbul, Eataly/Istanbul market shelves, and some other e-commerce websites. You can also buy Espresso 1882 capsules from Macrocenters.
For us, the easiest to use among the flavors mentioned above are Espresso 1882 capsules. Each of the five varieties has a unique aroma. There can be a reason to drink coffee at any time of the day. Espresso 1882 capsules, which are enjoyed with pleasure, high quality, and carefully produced, are also compatible with Nespresso capsule machines! This provides great convenience during our travels. Drinking our capsule coffees after entering our hotel room, dispelling the sweet fatigue enveloping our souls: Oh, what bliss!
