The coolness of the stone walls and the windows opening to the courtyard added a different spirit to the place. Although traces of time could be felt in some corners, this was a nice detail that complemented the warm atmosphere of the hotel. Breakfast was a feast. Aubergine and fried peppers were at the center of the table every morning, adorned with local delicacies. Homemade cheeses, za'atar, fresh pastries and warm bakery breads made it a different kind of happiness to start the day. There was a care that touched every moment of the day; even the tea service at 17.00 was an elegant detail that made guests feel special. Moreover, special Assyrian wines could also be experienced here; where the ancient flavors of Mesopotamia and Gaziantep meet, bringing the past and present together.

The boiled kibbeh is just the right consistency and the cigköfte leaves a mark on the palate with its spice. Antep cheese pastry was one of the stars of our breakfast table. After dinner, it is a completely different feeling to have a coffee in the courtyard and enjoy the moment in the silence between the stone walls. The hotel also has a wine cellar where you can taste the special Assyrian wines of the region. With the crispy taste of fried eggplant and fried peppers, the acrid smell of za'atar, the richness of fresh cheeses and the warm touch of pastries, we felt like pampered guests in an Antep home. The owner is a native of these lands; he knows the kitchen like the back of his hand and has turned cooking into a love. So much so that it was possible to taste Antep flavors that you can't find in restaurants. The tea served every day at 17.00 and the Mardin Syriac wine offered upon request made the afternoons even sweeter. In summer, in the shade of the walnut tree, in the garden surrounded by the chirping of birds; in winter, in the iwan, in the view of the Tahtani Mosque and the Castle, local meals, breakfasts...
