Torba Guide
Located about 5 kilometers from Bodrum's center, Torba offers a more relaxed holiday experience compared to the lively and bustling atmosphere of Bodrum.
Like İçmeler and Bitez, Torba is one of the closest bays to Bodrum's center on the peninsula. Positioned on the northern side of the peninsula, Torba is a sheltered bay, attracting yachts and fishermen. Due to its enclosed structure, the sea here is almost always calm and wave-free. It is also relatively shallow, making it safe and ideal for families with children. With warm waters, clean beaches, and a sea that is a bit removed from the crowds, it offers a peaceful retreat what more could one ask for?
Torba has managed to preserve its natural beauty even today. The road to the shore is lined with greenery, and pine trees almost touch the beach. Initially a quiet village where locals made their living through fishing, Torba has shifted towards tourism in the last 20–25 years due to the growing tourism potential and increasing number of accommodation facilities. However, you can still see local residents and old houses in the center of Torba.
If you choose to vacation in Torba, you can spend tranquil days by the sea while still being close enough to Bodrum's lively nightlife in the evenings. Therefore, Torba is a favorite destination for those seeking a calm and peaceful holiday with a touch of entertainment.
In recent years, the number of accommodations in Torba has increased due to the influx of both local and foreign tourists. Torba hotels mainly consist of boutique hotels and holiday resorts. Although there may not be a vast range of accommodation types, Torba hotels cater to the tastes of all types of holidaymakers.
The boutique hotels in Torba are generally located along the coastline. Meanwhile, those a bit further from the sea are surrounded by lush nature and pine trees. Whether you stay at a beachfront hotel or one nestled in nature, you will have a stunning view of either the sea or the greenery.
