Burgazada Guide
One of the first things that comes to mind when you think of Burgazada is its naturalness and simplicity. It has a much less touristic atmosphere compared to other islands, which makes it special. You can take a walk along the beach, watch the mansions and take a journey into the past. The house of famous writer Sait Faik Abasıyanık can be visited as a museum here. Burgazada is already mentioned a lot in his stories. It is quite easy to reach Burgazada. You can reach Burgazada in about 30-90 minutes by taking the ferry from piers such as Bostancı, Kadıköy, Eminönü and Kabataş from Istanbul. The ferry ride is a pleasure in itself to watch the sea accompanied by seagulls. The best way to explore the island is to rent a bicycle. As you pass through the quiet streets, the wind hits your face accompanied by the smell of the sea. You can also walk around on foot, because the island is quite small. For the pleasure of the sea, places like Kalpazankaya or Madam Martha Bay can be preferred. These bays are perfect for swimming and watching the sunset. It gets busier in the summer months, but it is still much calmer than Büyükada.
