Dear Small Hotels Visitors, I’m Seçil, and together with my husband Alper, we moved our story, which began in Istanbul, to the Northern Aegean many years ago. After exploring, working, and living in various small towns across the region for years, we found a quiet street with a peaceful garden in Cunda and established Cunda Ilios. Cunda Ilios is a modernized Greek house, originally built in 1861, with its sunny and lush green garden. The name Cunda Ilios was inspired by our daughter Güneş, whose presence and energy surrounds us all. The hotel is ideally located within walking distance to restaurants and shops that you'll enjoy exploring, yet it offers the peaceful and quiet atmosphere that makes it a preferred choice. Our hotel is situated on a street that still reflects the architecture, culture, and neighborly spirit from the days when Turkish and Greek families lived together in harmony. We are located in the heart of Cunda, above the Rahmi Koç Museum and below the Windmill. Cunda Ilios has 7 spacious and thoughtfully decorated rooms, along with a boutique kitchen, waiting for you. Our lovingly prepared homemade breakfast, open kitchen throughout the day, and our evening meze feasts, where we gather around the table, make Ilios and its garden a delightful and unforgettable experience. Our barbecue dinners, where you'll feel as if you're in your own garden, are another highlight. During your stay, you can consult us on anything, from dinner reservations to recommendations on places to visit. We’re here to help with all your needs. How to go

Our business is a 5-minute walk from Cunda center and a maximum of half an hour's drive from all beaches in Ayvalık and Cunda.

Cunda Ilios is 10 minutes away from Ayvalık Center, 20 minutes from Ayvalık bus station and 1 hour from Edremit Airport by car. For guests arriving by plane, there are Havaş shuttles from Edremit Airport to Ayvalık center, and Havaş is available at the landing time of each plane.

You can come to our hotel with your personal vehicle or Cunda cars that you can get from Ayvalık center. After getting off in Cunda center, we are 3-5 minutes away on foot. Our business is located between Rahmi Koç Museum and Windmills. You can get directions by asking for Old Stone Oven/New Ciao Restaurant. You can walk right across from Şok Market in Cunda center and reach our hotel.

There is a bunk bed in the other room for two.

We have a little restaurant at the garden of our hotel. Every item on our menu is prepared in our boutique kitchen. Hand made pastas, burgers, Turkish mezes, Cunda Wine Platter and regional wines stand out in our a la carte restaurant. Is this place handicapped accessible?

Our hotel is not appropriate for handicapped because of its geographic structure. However we do our best to make handicapped guests to make them feel comfortable in our hotel.

What is your child policy?

CHILD POLICY Cunda Ilios is suitable for familes with children, we allow children of any ages. We have, high chair, folding beds and park beds for families with children. We dont take extra fee for children in between 0-6 years old. We take half the price for children 6-12 years old.

What are the highlights of the property?

We have large and comfortable rooms. There is a green, silent garden in our backyard where you can enjoy your breakfast or a glass of wine, watching our gorgeous ancient building. Cunda Illios is very close to the center, in walking distance, it is close to the sea. Hope you experience our hotel.

What do you think is the best time to visit your region and why?

Spring and autumn is the best time to visit Cunda, there is no rush, streets are empty to park, restaurants are easily booked. The weather is very nice, people are harvesting olive, there is a festival in autumn about olive where you can taste, shop, join events.

What are the 3 most special things guests should know about the region?

Ayvalık cuisine is spectacular, you should try all of the mezes. It is an old ancient town, to go through the streets, to visit antique stores, sea museums. It has several bays, exquisite sea with nice beaches.

Things to do in the region and what are the activity suggestions?

Museum visit, street bazaars of Ayvalık on several days, experiencing Rakı-Balık-Ayvalık (rakı, fish, mezes)

Does the hotel have its own parking lot?

Our business is located on Hacılar Street and we do not have our own parking area. The closest parking lot to Cunda Ilios is on our side street, and the location information of the hotel and the parking lot is shared with our guests who call us. Our guests can come to the front of our hotel by car and after we unload our luggage, they are directed to the business on our side street.
