At the foot of the Taurus Mountains, while inhaling the fragrant scent of the orange groves of the Mediterranean, I am on my way to Antalya Finike on the road with an endless blue view where the sky and the Mediterranean Sea meet. At every ancient city sign I see on the road, I can't help but think about what ancient civilizations lived on these lands, what trade was made, what wars were won, what wars were lost.
Indeed, when you enter the borders of Antalya, we should see signs with the theme "Welcome to the land of ancient cities". In this post, I am gathering very special suggestions about what to do in Finike to experience this hidden paradise of Antalya.
With its unique bays, ancient cities with different stories, mountains full of king tombs, deep blue skies, fields decorated with colorful fruit trees, as well as eating, drinking, entertainment, but most importantly calmness and tranquility, Finike is one of my suggestions for holiday lovers looking for alternative routes this summer.
In Finike, which is also selected as Cittaslow, i.e. "calm city", swimming in Mağralı bay, exploring the ancient city of Limyra, spending the whole day at sea with boat tours in Olympos and Adrasan, touring the Finike coast by bicycle are among the beauties that you will immediately fall in love with this city and I will definitely not return without doing it. Accessible in 5 minutes, Finike beach, Gökliman Beach and Marina are among the sea beauties that make you feel good. In my opinion, being close to the sea and being able to swim in the sparkling clear water is the most important thing you can expect from a vacation.
As for my Food & Drink Recommendations in Finike:
Breakfast place Milazel Cafe , Orange Cafe
Dining ; Köşk Restaurant-Neşeli Balık Lokanta
Accommodation: Those who are looking for silence and calmness in Finike, and those who think that I should spend a pleasant vacation with myself and my family, let me take you to @fortunellasuitesvillas. Staying in a suite overlooking the marina or in a villa on the slopes with a great view might be just what you need this summer!
Opened in 2019 and set out with a passion for discovery, the owners have designed the rooms so beautifully and with fine details. Each room has a completely different beauty and can meet different needs. There are 23 suites and 4 villas in total, including honeymoon suite, Rooftop Suite with Jacuzzi and standard rooms. Villas have jacuzzi.
All suites are between 70 and 100 square meters, while the villas are between 150 and 300 square meters. In my opinion, the most beautiful room of the facility is the 1+1 suite, Portakal 26. The sunny angle, the unique Mediterranean view from the balcony... What more could one want on a vacation... If you want a more comfortable and spacious room recommendation, especially for families, 2+1 suites Olive 24 and Lemon 25 are the other rooms I would recommend. Also for families with children; Family suites with a capacity of 4 people are arranged in the form of a luxurious rooftop.
Either sea view or pool view rooms make this place even more special. There is also a villa called "Triangola Villa". The triangular architecture, the huge interior with a view of the pool and the fireplace make you think that you should stay here in all seasons. The citrus scent coming in through the doors opening to the sunrise views is dizzying.
In addition, the Standard room and 1 room of the Quatro villa are designed with disabled people in mind.
Every morning they serve breakfast in hand-knitted baskets, they serve it to the room/villa you are staying in according to your request. A feast of flavors filled with products such as kumquat (Fortunella), pomegranate, bergamot, olives, honey, citrus.
