Güle Otel

A special place with a beautiful name in Cunda: Gule Hotel. I am the guest of Ms. Şehnaz and Mr. Erol at @gulecunda, which is located on the left side of the stone paved road extending upwards in the center of the island -Cumhuriyet Caddesi. Don't you think Cunda, with its old Greek houses, all lined up in different postures, and its cobblestone streets full of gnarled trees; its history, its nature, its cafes, taverns, shops and fishermen? And, the smiling faces all around: a normalization of calmness, perhaps. In fact, in my opinion, this island has an ancient pastoral character. 🌅 Güle Hotel is a one-of-a-kind historical building with its blue bay windows protruding outwards, surrounded by numerous vines. Ms. Şehnaz and Mr. Erol felt that the island was a special place and chose to provide a personalized accommodation service with Güle Hotel. They have established a way of life that not only the visitors but also themselves enjoy. Their room named Akşamsefa, which evokes the name of a country house, with a mini balcony is my favorite. In the bathroom, they have attached their own production of natural olive oil cut soaps to the edges of the sink. What a nice detail... For me, staying at Güle Hotel means starting the day in a peaceful way at a beautiful breakfast table set on the island street, sitting on the swing in the garden, reading Ahmet Yorulmaz's Cunda books, walking around the streets that preserve the historical texture of the island at sunset, returning to the hotel in the evening to relieve the tiredness of the day with a good coffee... There are so many reasons to feel happy in life, this little island of Cunda reminds me of them in short... Located in the center of the island, the hotel is 5 minutes walk from the sea. 🌿 There are 8 rooms. 20 square meters - 30 square meters wide. ✏️ There is a mini meeting room. 🐶 They are not suitable for pets. A parenthesis: Güle Hotel is also famous for its breakfast. They make the hot dishes and treats for breakfast themselves. They buy cheeses from the dairy farm daily, vegetables and fruits from the village market on Saturday, olive oil is their own product, they were awarded with a gold medal this year. Reyhan sherbet, coruk juice are their own products, pumpkin quiche, mahaleb cookies, seed coffee, fit salads are their most popular products. As I write this article, my eyes are tearing up and I am once again happy with the hospitality at Güle Hotel.
