Gülevi Safranbolu emerged as a project of living through revitalization rather than one of accommodation. The project was initiated to survive the richness and subtlety of life which flourished during the 18th century in Safranbolu which is currently inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Gül and İbrahim Canbulat acquired three neighboring Ottoman mansions in the early 2000s and started running these buildings following restoration. All three mansions date back to the 18th century.
Damage and wear due to time and human intervention were recovered by the restoration process; the mansions were granted their genuine architectonics. Modern facilities required for the present-day functions of these mansions were installed without distorting the authentic integrity of the Ottoman mansion. Gülevi Safranbolu offers 18th century elegant life style with no compromise on contemporary appliances.

We came to the hotel upon recommendation and every service we received from check-in to check-out was perfect. While preserving the authenticity of the rooms, not compromising on their flawless cleanliness, using classical music in the background while serving the local and delicious breakfast is a great example of how the modern and comfortable can be brought together with the authentic in a beautiful balance. We would like to express our gratitude and love to Mr. Hasan and Ms. Safiye for this very enjoyable experience.

Since we have a 4-4 testicle and a small dog, they directed us to accept pets, but it was the most enjoyable mansion we stayed in. Definitely recommended whether you have a pet or not.

Its wonderful rooms, the objects carefully placed in the mansion, and the special recipe jams served for breakfast in its peaceful garden are legendary. I didn't have toothpaste and hair conditioner and I forgot to buy them during the day. The gentleman at the reception shared his products with me. I would like to thank him extra :)
