We had an unforgettable holiday in the enchanting atmosphere of Cappadocia during the fall. At the heart of our journey was Hezen Cave Hotel, located in the heart of Cappadocia, Ortahisar.
The hotel welcomed us with a breathtaking view, situated right across from the magnificent Ortahisar Castle. As soon as we stepped into the hotel, the eclectic design and elegant details created by Halide Didem offered a warm and welcoming ambiance. If you want to experience Turkish hospitality, this is exactly the place you’re looking for.
Hezen Cave Hotel offers a different experience compared to other cave hotels. The hotel's interior design combines modern technology with stylish details, and everything has been meticulously planned. We were greeted by a spacious lobby in the two-story main building, and we had our breakfast in the authentic rock chamber downstairs. Enjoying the view of Ortahisar Castle and Balkandere Valley from the hotel's terraces while having breakfast was an unforgettable experience.
The hotel rooms tell a story of their own. We stayed in a Superior Suite; the spacious bedroom, hammam-style bathroom, and cozy living room offered both comfort and luxury. In addition to modern amenities like a TV and minibar, every corner had a delicate touch. The Superior Family Suites, designed especially for families, feature two bedrooms and a living area, arranged to provide comfort for larger families.
The fall season in Cappadocia is ideal for enjoying both the beauty and tranquility of nature. As the heat subsides, you can enjoy activities such as balloon flights, ATV and jeep safaris, and moonlit night walks. We started our days by watching and photographing the early morning balloon flights, and later colored our days by joining horseback tours in the valleys. Cappadocia allows you to embark on a historical journey with its valleys, offering the opportunity to explore ancient underground cities and Roman-era churches.
The restaurant at Hezen Cave Hotel was just as impressive as the hotel itself. Hezen Restaurant serves flavors inspired by the roots of Cappadocia in Anatolia. Local dishes like pumpkin seed hummus, Ürgüp köfte, and pottery kebab took us on a culinary journey.
We didn’t miss the chance to have pide for lunch in Ürgüp, and in the evening, we warmed ourselves with local mezes against the view at Karakız tavern in Uçhisar. At night, we enjoyed live music at the Flue nightclub in Ortahisar, a fun spot for both the young and the young at heart!
Hakan Güzelgöz, the manager of Hezen Cave Hotel, has meticulously planned every detail to offer guests a unique experience. The hotel creates a romantic atmosphere for honeymoon couples with gestures like a fruit basket and room decorations.
There are 3 types of rooms available for 2 people (Standard, Suite, and Superior Suite).
Moreover, they offer a 20% extra discount for those who book through @kucukoteller during October, November, and December. Honeymoon couples receive an additional 10% discount, along with room decorations and a complimentary fruit basket. I highly recommend not missing out on this opportunity!
If you want to experience history, nature, and tranquility all together in Cappadocia, plan your stay at Hezen Cave Hotel. The breathtaking view and warm ambiance of Hezen Cave are waiting for you.
