
Directions to Aegean
Transportation by Land: There are many companies organizing bus services from Ankara to the Aegean Region. You can reach Aegean provinces such as Izmir, Aydın and Muğla by buses departing from Sıhhiye Sezenler Street. Especially in the summer months, the number of flights increases and the average journey time varies between 8-10 hours.
Transportation by Railway: There is currently no direct high-speed train line between Ankara and the Aegean Region. However, according to the statement of Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, the construction of the Ankara-İzmir high-speed train line is planned and the travel time is expected to decrease to approximately 3.5 hours once this line becomes operational.
Transportation by Air: There are daily flights from Ankara Esenboğa Airport to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport located in the Aegean Region. The flight time is approximately 1 hour. After Izmir, you can take buses or private cars to other cities in the region.
Private Tours and Car Rental: There are also tours organized from Ankara to the Aegean Region. Especially on weekends or long holidays, tours accompanied by a professional guide offer the opportunity to visit the highlights of the region. You can also rent a car to create your own route and explore the beauties of the Aegean.
