Antalya is a popular tourist destination located in the south-west of Turkey, and there are several ways to get there.
By Plane:
The easiest and most common way to get to Antalya is by flying into Antalya International Airport (AYT). The airport is well connected with many major European cities and there are flights available from most major airports. From the airport, you can take a bus, taxi or rent a car to get to the city center.
By Bus:
If you are looking for a cheaper option, You can also take a long-distance bus from Istanbul, Ankara or other major Turkish cities, which will take around 10 hours from Istanbul or 7 hours from Ankara. The bus journey takes a lot of time, but it's a good option for those who wants to see the Turkish landscapes and enjoy the views.
By Car:
If you are planning to drive to Antalya, you can reach it from Istanbul via the TEM and E80 motorway, which takes around 14 hours depending on traffic. It's a good option if you want to stop in some places along the way, like the Cappadocia region.
Keep in mind that the current situation of covid-19, might affect the availability of the transportation options, so always check the up-to-date information before planning your trip. Also, you will need a valid passport, and if you are not Turkish citizen, you may also need a visa to enter Turkey.
