How to get to Gökçeada

There are two ways to reach Gökçeada: Either from Çanakkale harbour or from Kabatepe harbour in Gallipoli. If you are travelling by bus, there is no bus service to the island at all times and from everywhere. Therefore, you can reach Çanakkale and take the ferry from there to the island. You should organise your bus times according to the ferry. After reaching Çanakkale bus station, you can use minibuses or minibuses to the ports. However, in the summer months, two bus companies organise flights from Istanbul to the island. The departure places in the island are in the centre of the island. 
Apart from the bus, you can also reach Gökçeada by plane from Istanbul. However, flights are made only during the summer holiday season. There are no flights to the island in winter. 
If you are coming with your own car, those coming from Istanbul will use Kabatepe and those coming from Anatolia will use Çanakkale Port. Especially in the summer months, flights to Gökçeada are even more frequent. You can reach the island from here by car ferries. Some of our road information is as follows:
İzmir - Çanakkale is approximately 330 kilometres and takes 4 hours 40 minutes.
Bursa - Çanakkale is approximately 270 kilometres and 3 and a half hours.
Balıkesir - Çanakkale is approximately 220 kilometres and takes 2 hours 45 minutes.
Ankara - Çanakkale is approximately 660 kilometres and takes 8 hours 10 minutes.
