Directions to Marmara Island

Since Marmara Island is a touristic island, it is very easy to reach. It is located at the point that will be the main base of maritime transportation between the Istanbul and Çanakkale Straits. It is 40 nautical miles from the Dardanelles, 60 nautical miles from the Bosphorus, and 11 nautical miles from the Thrace Hasköy Cape. There is sea transportation to Marmara Island from Tekirdağ, Istanbul and Erdek district of Balıkesir. While car ferries and passenger ferries from Tekirdağ and Erdek provide transportation, in the summer season, the sea bus connected to BUDO from Erdek and the sea bus connected to IDO from Istanbul operate. It takes 2 hours by sea from Tekirdağ and Erdek and 2.5 hours from Istanbul.
