Directions to Mediterranean
The Mediterranean side of Turkey stretches from the city of Antalya in the east to the city of Marmaris in the west. Here are directions to get to the region:
By Plane: The most convenient way to get to the Mediterranean side of Turkey is by flying into one of the major airports in the region. The main airport on the Mediterranean coast is Antalya Airport, which is served by both domestic and international airlines. Other airports in the region include Dalaman Airport and Gazipasa-Alanya Airport.
By Bus: If you are already in Turkey, you can take a bus to the Mediterranean side of the country. The bus network in Turkey is extensive and there are frequent services to the major cities on the Mediterranean coast, including Antalya, Marmaris, and Fethiye.
By Car: If you prefer to drive, you can rent a car from one of the major cities in Turkey and make your way to the Mediterranean side. The E90 highway runs along the coast and connects the major cities, so it's easy to get around by car. However, keep in mind that some of the roads in the region can be narrow and winding, especially in the mountainous areas.
By Ferry: Another option is to take a ferry from one of the neighboring countries, such as Greece or Cyprus, to the coastal towns in the Mediterranean region.
Once you are in the Mediterranean side of Turkey, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, such as visiting the beaches, exploring historic ruins, and trying the local cuisine.
