İlkan and Üzeyir settled in Şirince due to the population exchange between Turkey and Greece. It has been a long time since they left their grandfather’s property in Thessaloniki and came to the Greek village of Kırkınca (now Şirince). İlkan Gülgün went into the tourism business in 1999, and later on his brother Üzeyir and his spouse Dilay joined him in his endeavor. Kırkınca Homes have been inviting guests to witness the miracle created by nature and history, to relax, and to have fun since 1999.
