İlkan and Üzeyir settled in Şirince due to the population exchange between Turkey and Greece. It has been a long time since they left their grandfather’s property in Thessaloniki and came to the Greek village of Kırkınca (now Şirince). İlkan Gülgün went into the tourism business in 1999, and later on his brother Üzeyir and his spouse Dilay joined him in his endeavor.

Kırkınca Homes have been inviting guests to witness the miracle created by nature and history, to relax, and to have

fun since 1999. Surrounded by treasures like Ayasuluk Castle, the House of the Virgin Mary, the Church of St. Jean, İsabey Mosque, and Slope Houses, Şirince Village is full of magnificent nature and activities to make guests unaware of the passing of time. Guests will feel as comfortable as if they were born and raised here, with rooms designed for a perfect vacation, a pool surrounded by lush greenery, and delicacies like Kırkınca kebab, noodles with walnuts and cheese, and boiled thistle.

I have stayed in many hotels from this site, but this hotel was very disappointing. The staff was very helpful and friendly, but the rooms were very run-down and poorly maintained. It was dark, tasteless and depressing. Being authentic has been misjudged. They don't deserve what they pay. They found it appropriate to serve breakfast by squeezing the guests into a messy, neglected corner. We chose to leave without having breakfast. The hotel should not be on this site in its current state. He must be taken into urgent care.

I stayed twice, you really live in the old times, I recommend it for its fireplace, there is music in the restaurant on the weekends, the breakfast is amazing, it was even better on a rainy day.

A very central and authentic hotel. Remodeling the old mansion. Rooms with fireplaces are pleasant. Prices are reasonable. However it is a bit old and dark. I think something needs to be done. Mr. Ali, the manager of the hotel, is a very hospitable and friendly person. The hotel restaurant was very enjoyable. There is live music on weekends. The band is really good. Food and wine are very good 👍🏼
