Laika is one of the most special places to stay in the center of Sığacık. Located in a nostalgic alley, it offers the convenience of being close to everything in the center while providing a comfortable and peaceful stay with its spacious and brand-new rooms and bathrooms.
The hosts, Uğur and Melek, felt the hidden call of this region as soon as they set foot in Sığacık and decided to settle here. Uğur, a calligrapher who loves to research, travel, write poetry, and maintain a positive outlook on life, and Melek, who prepares delicious dinners with her skilled and adept hands in the kitchen, have bid farewell to hundreds of guests over the years with the same feeling and loving memories. This couple is so enthusiastic and passionate that you will also be affected by their positive energy. I have no doubt they will treat you like a guest…
Laika is an eye-catching hotel. The oil paintings on the walls certainly add a unique atmosphere. The hotel has a total of 4 rooms, furnished with simple elegance and attention to detail. The decor is rich. Thanks to the comfortable seating in the rooms, up to 4 people can stay. The rooms and bathrooms are both spacious and brand new. The headboards, chandeliers, curtains, and bathroom designs have been carefully selected.
The garden at the entrance of the hotel offers the pleasure of enjoying the town view during breakfast. In the evenings, this garden serves as a restaurant and from June 5th throughout the season, there will be live music six days a week and a Black Sea Night every Wednesday. With live music and delicious fish tables featuring Melek’s lovingly prepared mezes, it offers a wonderful dinner experience where conversations deepen. The reputation of Laika’s mezes and paper-wrapped sea bass has already surpassed Sığacık! For some, the ease of reaching your bed after dinner will be a particular reason for preference.
Since 2009, Seferihisar has been a Cittaslow city, and with its village market scenes set inside the castle, delicious food, charming accommodations, and sparkling sea, it is a must-visit. I am sure you will find the same joy and peace that I did...
Only children over 7 years old are accepted at Laika.
My recommendations:
For the sea, Akkum Beach: a paradise-like shore with its aquarium-like sea and bowl-shaped sheltered structure.
After coming from the sea, if you want to have a snack before dinner, the artichoke at La’Dude is legendary. For those who want to continue the night after dinner, I recommend Kozalak and Riccio.
