They say "the eyes speak volumes," and here I am in that very place. The sea here is crystal clear with shades of turquoise, offering ample exploration opportunities for those who want to dive. But describing Kaş solely by its beautiful sea would be unfair; once you get to know it, it's a high-energy land that will become as familiar as a close friend. So, here I am again, drawn by its cheerful beauty. I've missed Kaş; I've missed the summer...
I'm staying in one of the pool villas of Loft Country Kaş in the Çukurbağ region. With its loft architecture and texture reminiscent of old village houses, this place feels more like a modern village vacation than a hotel experience. There are a total of 4 villas, each with 1 bedroom and 1 living room, and if you prefer, you can opt for a villa with a veranda instead of a pool.
The villa pools aren't so large that you'll tire from swimming laps, but the openness and grandeur of the view in front of them are breathtaking. Taking a dip in the pool accompanied by gentle music at sunset and enjoying the view from there is a unique pleasure. If you're looking for romantic seclusion for a honeymoon, I highly recommend considering it.
What if I told you I watched horses running from the farmhouse through the glass of the villa's shower? But wait, there's more. They say Kaş is the "closest point to the stars on Earth," right? Well, inspired by this, they've installed massive skylight windows above the beds. I literally slept among the stars. And the log sink made from an old walnut tree in the bathroom is an interesting detail I've never seen before; I really liked it.
Loft Country Kaş is about a 10-15 minute drive from the center. It's ideal for a quieter holiday where you wake up to village views, mountain air, and the sounds of birds. You can include exploring the horse farm, the Lycian Way, the historical village elementary school hosting the Sleeping Giant and Dreams Academy with panoramic views of Kaş in your itinerary. But that's not all Kaş has to offer; there are ancient cities, beaches, and boat tours like Kekova as well.
As for what to eat, the best traditional breakfast places are in Çukurbağ. You must try the offerings at Doğal Anne Eli, At Çiftliği, and the gözleme from the Yörük ladies.
For the younger crowd, I recommend the venues in the center. After the sunset party at Derya Beach, a cocktail at Diva Bar followed by dancing at Loop, for example...
Kaş's busiest and warmest season is from May 19th to October 29th; celebrating here truly means having a blast. Everywhere is adorned with flags and filled with anthems; it's really something else. Don't miss out!
