Hotel Des Etrangers (Hotel of Foreigners) is a hotel with a special certificate, built in the 14th century and later restored, which has also hosted Heinrich Schlieman, Explorer of Troy, in the 19th century. The rooms with balconies to a view of the Dardanelles have an atmosphere reminiscent of Italian country style, with modern decorations carrying traces of Anatolian, Ottoman and Greek architecture.

Some have impressive decorations with patterns common to Seldjuk architecture on their ceilings.It is in a central location, and only 25 km if one wishes to follow the historical texture on the streets to the ancient city of Troy. At Hotel Des Etrangers, which is easy to reach due to its proximity to Eceabat and Kilitbahir ferry lines, one can experience the history of Çanakkale with today’s sensibilities, enjoy oneself with loved ones, or taste exquisite natural homemade delicacies unique to Çanakkale from local kitchens.

With its country style, it is a place that makes people feel at home rather than a hotel atmosphere. Getting to know friendly business owners is an element that increases satisfaction. A great place for a comfortable stay without breathing the hotel air.

A very nice historical hotel. But since it is in the center, it is very difficult to sleep. Therefore, we stayed only one night and moved to another hotel. The breakfast was also nice.

It is one of the few accommodations where I am incredibly happy and peaceful. There's a lot to be said for feeling happy. Cleanliness, kindness of the staff and hosts, meticulousness, extremely delicious, meticulously prepared breakfast and its presentation... I can say this with peace of mind, it is the only place to stay in the center of Çanakkale. I thank each and every one of them.
