Places to visit in Erzurum

Erzurum is a very important place, especially in terms of our history and one of the first places we Turks visited in Anatolia. However, it has developed to the present day with the different contributions of various civilizations, leaving us with a long list of places to visit. For those who are interested in historical buildings, the Çifte Minareli Madrasa, Erzurum Castle and Aziziye Bastions come first. Erzurum Grand Mosque and Yakutiye Madrasa are also places to see. Palandöken Ski Center is an ideal place for both activities and sightseeing, and the natural beauty of Tortum Lake/Torum Waterfall are other highlights of the list. The Çoruh Basin is another beauty worth seeing for both sporting activities and natural visuals. Apart from these, İspir Yedigöller and Narman Fairy Chimneys have attracted attention in recent years. You can easily visit these places by spending 2-3 days. Since Erzurum is located on hilly terrain, the journey to the city may take a little longer.
