Although it is located in the Marmara Region, the Black Sea climate and weather are experienced in Sakarya. Especially since it is located on important roads in the transition from the Marmara Region to the interior regions, it is a frequently frequented location. Sakarya is almost like a stopover. Thermal facilities in Sakarya, recreation areas in the forest area, the exuberant sea in the summer periods on the Black Sea coast, delicious meat-barbecue facilities on the roadsides, natural holiday villages and many other places will give you a good time. We recommend you to go to Sakarya especially in the spring months because the view of the forested areas is magnificent both in spring and fall. 
In Sakarya, where both Mediterranean and typical Black Sea climate is seen, regions such as Sapanca, Geyve, Karasu are among the busiest places in terms of tourism, and Hendek and Akyazı are also among the most frequented places. Sakarya River, from which the city takes its name, and its surroundings also contain many beauties. Sakarya is also an extremely comfortable city in terms of transportation. 
Since the International Culture, Tourism and Hazelnut Festival is held in Sakarya in July, the city is even more lively during this period. We recommend our visitors to take this into consideration. Do not neglect to visit Çark Street, one of the busiest streets of the city, and have a meal of wet meatballs and keşkeş, which are unique to Sakarya.
