Silivri Guide

Silivri Coast and Beaches: First, I visited Silivri Beach, on the coast of the Sea of Marmara, which is very lively in summer. It is a great place to swim. While walking along the beach, it was very enjoyable to watch the people sitting in the cafes around me and the atmosphere peacefully integrated with the sea. When you walk by the sea, you can clearly feel that summer has arrived. A great spot to grab a coffee and spend some time.

Mimar Sinan Bridge: Afterwards, I went on a historical journey and stopped by Mimar Sinan Bridge. This 16th century bridge is a truly magnificent structure. It is both historically and architecturally fascinating. It was an unforgettable experience for me to walk across the bridge and feel a little bit of that period. Anyway, Mimar Sinan's works have always been masterpieces and this is one of them.

Silivri Castle (Selymbria Castle): Another stop was Silivri Castle. It is an impressive place with its Byzantine fortifications and high walls. This area, organized as Kalepark, is full of stone artifacts. While exploring the castle, you breathe in the historical texture and enjoy the natural beauties. When you spend the day here, you don't understand how time passes.

Selimpaşa Historical Houses: While walking around Selimpaşa, I saw wooden houses from the 19th century. These houses are very special structures reflecting the history of the region. Especially if you are someone who likes to take photos, these historical houses offer great shots. Each one seems to hold a story in itself. It is really peaceful to see the tranquility and old texture of the surroundings.

Sunflower Fields: I wanted to go a little more rural and headed to the Sunflower Fields. In late summer, the fields literally looked like a sea of yellow. It was the perfect place for both hiking and taking lots of photos. I felt lost here for a couple of hours. The beauty of nature is wonderful from every angle.

Silivri Bazaar: Strolling through the traditional bazaar of the region was also very enjoyable. You can find many local products and souvenirs. Spending time here is also a good opportunity to discover Silivri's culture more closely. It was especially nice to shop in the small shops to taste the local delicacies.

Fairy Tale Village: I stopped by the Fairy Tale Village to revive some of my childhood memories. I was impressed by the colorful sculptures, fairy tale heroes and the fun atmosphere. There is a fun environment for both children and adults. One really gets lost here and feels like stepping into a fairy tale world.

Silivri Gümüşyaka Night Market: I chose to go to the night market in Gümüşyaka in the evening. This market is very lively especially in the evenings and offers various local products and souvenirs. It was very enjoyable to both shop and experience the night market atmosphere.

Silivri Horse Farms and Golf Courses: I wanted to do some nature and sports and decided to go to horse farms. Both the view and the silence while riding horses give you a lot of peace. There are also golf courses, which is a good alternative for those who like sports.

Silivri Beach Park: To end the day, I went to Silivri Beach Park, a really peaceful area. Sitting by the sea and relaxing for a while felt good at the end of a pleasant day. It was very nice to walk along the beach and take a deep breath against the view.

Klasis Golf Club:For those interested in golf, the golf club in Silivri is a great place. There are areas where people of all ages can play golf. If you like to play golf, you can have a very pleasant time here.
