Arhavi Guide

Arhavi, the fifth largest district of Artvin, one of the most beautiful cities of the Eastern Black Sea region, has been playing an important role in tourism in the region in recent years. Arhavi is a green paradise worth seeing with its lush green forests, waters and rivers blending shades of blue. Arhavi, the district leaning on the north of the Eastern Black Sea Mountains, offers all the beauties of the Black Sea to its guests at once. With its lush green plateaus, the raging waters of the Çoruh River, high mountains, warm people of the Black Sea and delicious food, it is a must-visit corner. The history of Arhavi is similar to that of Artvin. With a history of about six thousand years, Artvin Arhavi has a deep-rooted civilization. Today, you can see the traces of history in these lands. In Arhavi, which has hosted many civilizations from Byzantium to Seljuks and Ottomans in the past, historical and touristic activities have gained importance and increased especially in recent years. With its clean beaches and deep-rooted history, Arhavi has become a popular destination for Black Sea Region holidaymakers, especially with the gradual solution of transportation problems. In addition, the Arhavi Culture and Art Festival, which is considered the most comprehensive event of the Black Sea Region, is organized in Artvin Arhavi. Organized since 1973 and considered the oldest event of the region, the festival is organized in September today, while it was on a different date before.
