Things to do in Burgazada

After getting off the ferry, have breakfast at Ergün Pastry Shop, which serves a classic Turkish breakfast. Their fresh pastries and pies are delicious. Then head towards Yalı Street and climb Hristos Hill, the highest point of the island. If you can get away from the view, go down and see the island's largest church, the elegant domed Aya Yani. Sait Faik's house is located on the street parallel to Aya Yani. It has been turned into a museum where the author's belongings, photographs, books and writings are exhibited. Take a tea break at Burgaz Cafe right across the ferry pier.  Then take a walk towards Kalpazankaya. And take a look at the sunset from here...
