In Ayvalık; the masters of the architectural buildings unique to their time were masters of respecting the space and processing the stone, whether close or distant plan. I visualize the people who once lived here.
Isn't it obvious that there are signs of a vibrant and busy life... While I was wandering in such deep thoughts, I found myself in front of the door of Villa Pietra | @villapietrahotel, the hotel of Elif & Mustafa Büyükçıvgın couple by the sea.
Villa Pietra is a 113-odd year old historical building made of stone like lace, carved inside like filigree and no matter how much you look for it, there is no flat surface on it. The suite room named 'Laka', where I stayed with pleasure: a comfortable room with natural and simple colors that do not strain the eyes and that is worth seeing. If location is an issue for you, Villa Pietra is right in the heart of Ayvalık!
Let me add that as soon as you enter the hotel, the absolute silence and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore intoxicate you!For me, Villa Pietra means a circle of return to the ground of calmness and peace...🍀
As a breakfast addict, I enjoy a mixed breakfast full of generous Aegean flavors at my table on the beachside overlooking the beautiful view that gives you peace.
🌊 You know that all roads in Ayvalık lead to the beach. After breakfast, I spend my time without any fuss, losing my way left and right, taking different roads, going to Ayazma Church, entering shops.
During the day you can visit the mosques in Ayvalık, Ayvalık Ayazma, Cunda Island, Yeniçahori (Küçükköy), Badavut and Sarımsaklı Beach, Şeytan Sofrası, Kozak Plateau, Bergama. One does not know how to spend the day here. The unspoiled nature of the Aegean is reflected in the flavor of the food. To reinforce the spirit of being in Ayvalık, I would like to remind you that Villa Pietra's gustosu dishes prepared with genuine olive oil are delicious.
