Things to do in Artvin

When you come to Artvin, you should first make a trekking and rafting plan. The main place you should see in Artvin is the Çoruh River with its raging waters. As you can take a walk along the river, you should definitely, definitely take a rafting tour. We think this excitement cannot be left aside. In Artvin, which is also famous for its plateau festivals held at certain times of the year, you can visit green paradises such as Bilbilan, Sahara plateaus, Kaçkar Mountains Tourism Center, Arsiyan and Mersivan plateaus. 

There are also national parks and nature parks under protection in the city. You can visit Sahara-Karagöl National Park, Hatila Valley National Park, Yıldızgölü, Maçahel-Gorgit Natural Park and Conservation Area in Şavşat and spend a wonderful day in the lap of nature.

Alternatively, you can visit Balıklıgöl with the road junction from Veliköy before coming to Karagöl. It is in the village of Pınarlı but at a height that we can call a plateau. It is not as big as Karagöl, but its road, view, air and ice-cold water are worth seeing. 
You can participate in exciting activities such as horseback trekking and jeep safari. If you like climbing, you can plan a tour to Kaçkar Mountains. For fishing and hiking, you can choose the city's waterfalls and streams.
