Things to do in Catalca
1. Reverse House: First of all, one of the most interesting places I visited in Çatalca was the Reverse House. The inside is decorated completely upside down, everything is upside down. So, every room, every item offers you a completely different perspective. It's a great place to take photos and make fun memories with your friends.
2. Antikköy: Here you can visit the zoo, ride horses and have a barbecue in the open area. You can spend time in a calm and peaceful atmosphere. In short, as a traveler who wants to be in touch with nature, this was really a perfect stopover point.
3. İnceğiz Caves: With its 5,000 years of history, it was a place that fascinated me. You can feel the history deeply here. As you wander through the caves, you can almost feel the traces of ancient times in your fingers. If you are interested in history and archeology, this is a spot not to be missed.
4. Çilingoz Nature Park: When you step into the nature of Catalca, one of the first places you should visit is Çilingoz Nature Park. You can take nature walks here with its rich vegetation and calm environment. You can also camp and enjoy the sea with water sports.
5. Yalıköy Beach: When you come to Çatalca, if you want to enter the calm waters of the Black Sea, Yalıköy Beach is ideal. You can swim in the calm beach and spend a peaceful day. Also, since the beach here is not very crowded, I recommend it to those who want to have a quieter and calmer vacation.
6. Ormanlı Village and Beach: like a paradise in greenery. Especially Ormanlı Beach attracts attention with its natural beauties. For those looking for a little adventure, there are also activities where you can paraglide. Don't forget to take photos with its legendary view.
7. Flamingo Village: It has an important place as a wildlife conservation area. You can observe flamingos closely here. As a traveler, seeing such a natural habitat is a peaceful and educational experience.
8. Heeled Fountain: If you want to visit a historical building while heading towards the center of Çatalca, Topuklu Fountain is waiting for you. This Ottoman-era fountain is also an important symbol for the local people. The architecture of the fountain is quite remarkable, and as you visit, you go deeper into history.
9. Subaşı Memorial Sycamores: In Çatalca, you cannot pass by Subaşı Memorial Sycamores, which has giant plane trees estimated to be 900-1000 years old. These old trees reveal the power and beauty of nature. It's worth a visit just to take a photo!
10. Mübadele Museum: If you want to dive a little deeper into history, the Mübadele Museum is definitely a must-visit. In this place, which is Turkey's first exchange museum, you can see the traces of migration and the difficulties experienced by immigrants.
