Things to do in Ovabuku
1. Enjoying the Sea: I went down to the beach early in the morning. The sea is so beautiful here in the morning. The water is so clear that I walked into the sea following my toes. The sand was like silk and the sea was calm... It was as if it took away all my tiredness.
2. Long walks in nature: In the afternoon, I took the walking path behind the beach. It was good for my soul to walk among olive and almond trees accompanied by a gentle breeze. Along the way, I came across goats and blossoming trees. It seemed like a photo frame was hidden around every corner...
3. Traveling to Hidden Bays with Boat Tours: The next day I got on a small boat departing from the harbor. We sailed from Ovabükü and visited other bays such as Hayıtbükü and Domuzbükü. Each one was more beautiful than the other, and every time I jumped into the sea I felt like I was reborn. Sunbathing on the boat and breathing in the fresh air was priceless.
4. Delicious Tables: I sat at Liman Restaurant against the sunset and ordered fresh Aegean herbs and grilled fish by the sea, accompanied by a light breeze. The almond dessert came on top; it was so good that it made me say “I've never tasted anything like this before”. While we were eating, we chatted with a local couple sitting at the next table, and it is at moments like these that the sincerity of Ovabükü is felt.
5. Small Getaways to Neighboring Bays: One morning I walked to Hayıtbükü, a short walk but with a great view. Palamutbükü is livelier, more lively. Ideal if you want to get out of the silence of Ovabükü and be a little social.
6. The Magic of Knidos:If you are a history buff, Knidos should definitely be on your list. I went towards sunset, sitting in the ancient theater and watching the sunset. Words are not enough. It's like being suspended between the past and the present.
