Things to do in Ilica
1. Sunbathing and Swimming at Ilica Beach: When I went to Ilica Beach, the first thing I noticed was the wide and fine sandy beach. The sea is really amazing. Shallow and clean, you can spend hours in the water. On a hot day, it is the perfect place to cool off. The beach is also a safe environment for families with children, as the water is very easy to enter.
2. Relaxation with Thermal Waters: One day, I decided to relax in the famous thermal waters of Ilica, which are available in several thermal hotels and spa centers. I was suffering from rheumatic pains and I really felt the effect immediately. It is also very useful for skin problems. As I slowly entered the water, the warmth and minerals of the thermal waters were enough to relax me.
3. Water Sports and Windsurfing: I had a great opportunity to surf in the windy bay in the town. Ilıca Bay is very popular, especially for windsurfing and kitesurfing. There are many water sports centers and you can rent jet skis or pedal boats here.
4. Exploring by boat: One morning, I joined a boat tour departing from Ilıca. On the tour, we visited the beautiful bays of the Aegean, swam in the clear waters of the sea and took lots of photos. The boat trip was also very enjoyable with a complimentary lunch. It was a privilege to see the bays you have never seen before, especially on the Çeşme Peninsula.
5. Visit Alacati: Don't forget to visit Alaçatı, which is only 10 minutes away from Ilıca. Wandering around the stone houses and narrow streets of Alaçatı is really peaceful. It is very pleasant to get lost in the unique atmosphere of the Aegean while shopping in boutique stores. It is also an ideal place for windsurfing.
6. Exploring the Ancient City of Erythrai: One day, a short drive from Ilıca, I discovered the Ancient City of Erythrai. This ancient city is a real treasure for history lovers. As I wandered through the ancient theater and other ruins, I took a journey into the past. This area reeking of history was truly fascinating.
7. Visiting Çeşme Castle and Museum: Another day, I went to Çeşme and visited Çeşme Castle. The castle has a great view of the city from high above. After visiting the Çeşme Museum inside, I learned more about the history of the region. I especially enjoyed walking around the castle walls.
