Things to do in Urgup

The first thing to do in Cappadocia Urgup is a balloon tour where you can wake up early in the morning and see the whole Cappadocia Region. There are many companies offering balloon tours in the region. Accompanied by expert instructors, it will be a wonderful experience to see this fascinating region illuminated by the first light of the morning. Also, don't forget to enjoy the sunset and of course bring a picnic basket. 

During the day, you can visit the historical and touristic places in the center of Urgup. You can see the nearby valleys such as Pancarlik and Keşlik, which impress with their natural beauty.

You can stroll the streets of Urgup and take lots of photos. You can shop in the bazaar. You can taste the famous jug and pottery kebabs of Cappadocia.    

You can organize day trips to other favorite tourist attractions of Cappadocia such as Göreme, Avanos, Ortahisar. You can rent a jeep and go sightseeing in and around Urgup. You can ride a horse. You can ride a bicycle on the streets of Ürgüp and even participate in bicycle races usually organized in July. If you are in time, you can participate in the Vintage Festivals.

While you are under the influence of the fascinating beauties of Ürgüp, you can also watch a whirling dervish show in the underground caves. It will be a different experience in these lands that have hosted many different cultures for centuries.

You can go rafting in Zamantı Canyon in the region. The waters of the waterfall will make you feel like the sea and you will feel quite fresh.

In the evening, you can sip your wine while having a nice meal against the magnificent view of Cappadocia and Urgup.

Don't return without watching the sunset in the Red Valley, drinking roasted Turkish coffee on Ortahisar hill, taking an ATV tour in the valleys, visiting the Ihlara Valley and the Goreme Open Air Museum.

Especially the valley walks under the full moon are spectacular.
