Places to eat in Gaziantep

Gaziantep is one of the important gourmet destinations of recent years. Since Gaziantep has a deep-rooted culture and civilization, Antep Cuisine has an important place in Turkish culinary culture. There are many different flavors that will appeal to your taste buds from Antep cuisine where bulgur, bitter, sour and yogurt are at the forefront. Meatballs, pilaf, pastries, soups, kebabs, meat dishes are all delicious and beautiful.

If we need to talk about local flavors, we can mention stuffed meatballs, raw meatballs, sour meatballs, akıtmalı meatballs, stuffed meatballs (kısır), eggplant kebab, Ali Nazik Kebab, simit kebab, onion kebab, beyran soup, pounded alaca soup, onion stew with yogurt, mıcırık aşı, borani, kabaklama, garlic pan, stuffed acur with firikli, stuffed mumbar, stuffed beetroot, carrot vaccine, Uzbek pilaf, firik pilaf, pounded pilaf with meat, pişi pastry, lahmacun, loğlaz piyazı, maş piyazı, cucumber tzatziki, koruk salad are just a few of these delicacies.

The best kebab addresses in the city are Halil Usta opposite Camlı Kahve, Ünal Meat Restaurant, Haydar Usta and İmam Çağdaş.
TEA/COFFEE: Tarihi Kır Kahvesi, Kahvaci Seddar Bey - at Gümrük Han

One of the Special Recommendations: Not without gourmet delicacies such as baklava, küşleme and beyran soup (we recommend Ciğerci Mustafa). In addition, don't leave without tasting sweet katmeri, stuffed eggplant, lamb liver kebab or cağırtlak and yuvalama soup. We recommend Aşina Gaziantep Cuisine for these wonderful flavors.

The best baklava addresses in the city are İmam Çağdaş and Koçak Baklavacısı in Uzunçarşı and Zeki İnal Baklavacısı (don't go back without eating şöbiyet... I haven't eaten şöbiyet on it... There is a coarsely ground pistachio and a finely ground one, the finer one tastes better in my opinion). Apart from kebab, we recommend you to try flavors such as “Nohut Dürümü” and “Katmer”, which are among the most original flavors you can taste in the city, at Habeş Usta or go to Zekeriya Usta for Katmer. Üçler Kebap (for Lahmacun), Metanet Esnaf Lokantası (for beyran and katmer), Evirgeç Mantı are among the other restaurants you should visit.
'Tahmis Kahvesi' for a coffee break. Its history dates back to 1650s. The old texture of the building is still intact. The atmosphere is also pleasant. There are 500 year old lamps inside. There are even photographs from the old times.

Other Breakfast Suggestions: Ayyuş Hanim Konagı, Orkide Patisserie, Bayazhan and Yesemek, Akşam Simit, MSM (Culinary Arts Center - one of the decent places you should definitely go for food... we were very pleased. You can find all the local antep dishes),
Erikçe, Hışvahan

Finally, I suggest you try the kebab shops under the castle; you can also go to Kebapçı Necdet, Çulcuoğlu (their treats in the middle are very successful). If you say Karakabir, they will give you directions :) Next to the 100th year park, there is a kebab shop called butterfly, I have not gotten the flavor I got from there from anywhere.
