Places to eat in Ortakent
A beautiful day in Ortakent, filled with the sea, sun, and tranquility, is best completed with a good meal. Here, you’ll find wonderful places where you can grab a quick bite without even shaking off the salt from your skin, enjoy a long breakfast, or sip your raki while watching the sunset.
Breakfast
Waking up early, breathing in the fresh sea air, and treating yourself to a delightful breakfast—sounds perfect, right? Kozalak Kahvaltı Restoranı is the place to be.
Nestled in nature, you can enjoy a traditional Turkish breakfast while listening to the birds chirping. The homemade jams and fresh village cheeses were my favorites. If you prefer a seaside breakfast, Kefi Restaurant & Beach is another fantastic option. Sitting at tables set right on the sand, with the gentle sea breeze on your face, makes for an unforgettable experience.
Lunch
After a swim, if you're in the mood for a light meal, Mu Art Cafe is a great spot for a break. Their iced coffees and homemade cakes provide a relaxing pause. If you're a seafood lover, Dayı Balık Market & Restaurant is a true feast. Their fried whiting and calamari are excellent, especially when paired with their crispy, freshly baked bread.
Dinner
One of my favorite things about Ortakent is how magical it becomes at sunset. Watching the sky turn into shades of orange and pink while enjoying a delicious dinner is a must. Köşem Balık Restaurant is a great choice. The appetizers are incredibly fresh—especially the sea beans and fava. For the main course, I had grilled sea bass, which was crispy on the outside and juicy inside.
For a more rustic and authentic experience, Ayana Mes is a fantastic option. The tables are right by the shore, making it a magical spot for dinner under the moonlight. Their garlic octopus, served with roasted peppers, is simply legendary.
Nightlife and Desserts
After dinner, if you’d like to take a stroll and enjoy something sweet, Mu Art Cafe is worth another visit for its homemade desserts. I tried their chocolate mosaic cake, and it was delicious. If you prefer something lighter, you can head to Cio Beach for a cocktail or a refreshing drink while enjoying the sea view.
