Places to see in Beypazarı

When you arrive in Beypazarı, the first thing you should do is take a walk through its streets and witness the traces of history. If you wish, you can explore the Beypazarı Bazaar and do some shopping. After southeastern Turkey, Beypazarı is one of the few places where you can see the art of telkari (filigree) and the skilled craftsmen who create it. For this, be sure to visit the Silversmiths’ Bazaar (Gümüşçüler Çarşısı).

If you're interested in birdwatching, İnözü Valley is a must-visit. It's one of Turkey's prime birdwatching areas, home to many species of birds and butterflies. As a protected natural site, the valley also features numerous vineyards and traditional Beypazarı houses. You can also explore ancient ruins and caves in the area.

In addition to that, you can head to the highlands around Beypazarı. For clean, fresh air and a day in nature, Eğriova Plateau is a perfect spot. You can enjoy a picnic or go fishing in the lush greenery.

One of the must-see historical buildings in Beypazarı is the Abbaszade Mansion, an Ottoman mansion built in the 19th century. Restored by the municipality and turned into a “Living Museum”, the mansion showcases the culture, history, and traditional clothing of Beypazarı.

Beypazarı also boasts many mosques and historical sites. Some notable ones include İncili Mosque, Akşemsettin Mosque, Suluhan Caravanserai, Sultan Alaaddin Pasha Mosque, Paşa Hammam, Boğazkesen Tomb, Yediler Mausoleum, the tomb of Gazi Gündüzalp, who was the grandfather of Osman Gazi (founder of the Ottoman Empire), and İvaz Dede Mausoleum.

You can also explore thermal springs and plateaus in Beypazarı, and visit many museums such as the Nature House, Living Museum, City History Museum, and Cahide Gürsoy Museum House. Other thermal spots include Kapullu Hot Springs and Dutlu-Tahtalı Hot Springs and Mineral Waters.
