Places to see in Turkbuku

On the hills of Türkbükü there are many walls, two castles, rock tombs, interesting caves and columns from the Lycians in ancient times. If you have some interest in history, you can visit these places. You can take a walk in the streets of Türkbükü, photograph the architecture of Bodrum houses and the narrow streets of Türkbükü.   

You can go to see the lake that gives Gölköy its name, take a walk by the lake and take photos. This lake is home to many animal and plant species. The most distinctive feature of the palm trees called Phoenix, which are palm trees on the edge of the lake, is that they do not burn. This type of tree grows only in Crete and in our country. We think it is a beauty worth seeing.   

Bodrum and Milas, which are close to the region, are towns with many historical monuments. If you want, you can go to the center of Bodrum and see Bodrum Castle, Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology, the ancient theater and Mindos Gate and its ruins and columns.    

If you go to Milas, you can see the Gümüşkesen tomb monument, rock tombs, the monument of Zeus Euromos, of which only 16 columns have survived until today, and the ruins of the city of Bargilya. In Milas, you can take a walk to explore the region.   

You can take boat tours to see the large and small islands in the vicinity or go to Badem Island a little further offshore.
