Places to see in Gumbet

First of all, you can visit the center of Bodrum and the bazaar. You can go to Bodrum Castle. You can visit Bodrum Castle and the museum there. Another important place you should visit in the castle built on the rocks between the two harbors is the Underwater Archaeology museum. This museum is the second underwater museum in the world.     

You can see the Mindos Gate, known as the most important walls of the city of Halicarnassus. Mindos Gate is located at Gumbet Junction, between Bodrum and Gumbet. Here you can also see traces from the Roman and Hellenistic Periods.    

For those who are curious, you can visit the grave of Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı, known as the Fisherman of Halicarnassus, in the back of Gumbet, in Saldırşah Mevkii.    

You can take long walks in the center of Bodrum and see the famous whitewashed Bodrum houses. You can spend time sunbathing and swimming on Bodrum's beaches. In the evenings, you can enjoy the entertainment in the famous entertainment venues of Bodrum or Gumbet.
