Cunda Island and Ziyabey Mansion

I continue my wanderings in the warm harmony born from the blend of sea, sand and sun. Now I am in Cunda, which satisfies my soul and drags me from dreams to dreams🌿

This island takes me not to "nostalgia" but to history. Cunda is a special island with its bistros, restaurants and cafes that preserve the architectural structures of centuries ago and are of uniform elegance and quality.

🏠 Accommodation: I meet Mr.

Hüseyin at Ziya Bey Konagi (@ziyabeykonagi), a pleasant place to stay in the periphery of Cunda. Hüseyin Bey is a man who speaks by looking you in the eye and shakes your hand firmly. He is a genuine host of Ziya Bey Konagi.

🗝️ Ziya Bey Mansion is a pure hotel where the rooms of the mansion are bathed in the wind, the outer door opens to Cumhuriyet Street in the center of the island, saxophone, accordion and cello concerts spread around, and olives, bougainvillea and pomegranate trees grow in the garden.

🌸 Simple, cozy and elegant, the high ceiling rooms are embroidered with elvan colors, obviously passed through the loom of master hands. The stone walls are adorned with paintings collected over a lifetime and specially selected accessories. The garden floor room gives me a different pleasure. After breakfast, I enjoy the cabanas by the pool. Oh, and the Ziya Bey Mansion is a monolithic place where the live sound of jazz music is heard "in its rightful place".
